West Hawk Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park located in MB is a meteor lake and popular cottage area. This boathouse was renovated in order to retain a bathroom in its design, as one of the early cottage properties on the lake this property it was once the summer residence of the Premier of MB. Because of the remote site that was boat access only this project required an ice road for materials delivery. The dock and cribs were rebuilt with the structure lifted and braced above. The boathouse portion houses a 24’ boat as well as a winterized water system for the cottage above and a waste systems that pump to a field on shore. The small well insulated cabin can be used during the coldest weather and heats up in a short period of time. It is only accessible by boat, snowmobile or foot.
